With the Second World War the chewing finally conquered Europe.
The GI's were already supplied with chewing gum in the First World War.
1939 as professor HL Hollingworth of Columbia University found that
chewing affects was not only relaxing but also enhances the ability to
concentrate, the U.S.A. supplied the U.S. soldiers in the 2nd War with chewing gum
so plentiful that the substance in the home was short.
1950 the first sugar-free chewing gum entered the market.
Today there exist chewing gums in every conceivable variation: from dental chewing gum to chewing gums as medicine to the Energy Gum.
